Frequently asked questions

Considering a hair transplant or treatment for hair loss? Here we have gathered answers to what our patients ask most — from treatment day through to the result.

Hair transplants & FUE

Everything about treatment day, the technique and the result.

Is a hair transplant painful?

No. The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic and is essentially pain-free. You are awake throughout and can relax, listen to music or watch a film. Some tenderness is possible in the first few days afterwards, but it is usually mild and can be eased with over-the-counter painkillers if needed.

What is the FUE technique, and how is it different?

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) means we extract follicles one at a time from your donor area at the back and sides of the head, without removing a strip of scalp. That leaves no linear scarring, shortens healing time and produces a very natural result. Each follicle is then placed at the correct angle and direction to mirror your own growth pattern.

How many grafts do I need?

It depends on how far the hair loss has progressed, the size of the area and how dense you want it. At your consultation we assess your donor area and scalp, then set an exact graft count and design the hairline. You get a clear plan and price before anything is booked — no surprises.

How natural will the hairline look?

Very natural. Because we use your own hair and place each strand individually at the correct angle, the result is indistinguishable from natural growth. Our specialists design the hairline around your facial proportions and your age, so it looks balanced and genuine even close up.

Will there be visible scarring?

FUE leaves no linear scars. The tiny extraction points in the donor area heal into pinpoint marks that are barely visible and are completely covered by the surrounding hair, even with a short haircut.

Is the result permanent?

Yes. The transplanted follicles come from areas that are genetically resistant to hair loss, and they keep those properties once relocated. They continue to grow naturally for the rest of your life — so the transplanted hair will not need repeat treatment.

PRP treatment

A regenerative treatment that strengthens the scalp using your body’s own growth factors.

What is PRP treatment?

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) involves taking a small blood sample, spinning it to concentrate the platelets and growth factors naturally present in your blood, and injecting that into the scalp. The growth factors stimulate the follicles and improve circulation where the hair grows.

Does PRP help with hair loss?

PRP can slow hair loss, strengthen the hair you have and stimulate growth — particularly in the early stages of hair loss or where the hair is thinning. Results vary from person to person and are best assessed at a consultation where we look at your scalp and your circumstances.

How many PRP treatments are needed?

For the best effect we usually recommend a course of 3–4 treatments a few weeks apart, followed by maintenance sessions a couple of times a year. We set an individual schedule around your goals.

Can I combine PRP with a hair transplant?

Yes, and it is often an advantage. PRP is included in our hair transplant package because it supports healing and can improve how well the new follicles establish themselves. It is also a good way to look after the hair you already have.

Hair loss

Understand the causes and the treatment routes available.

What causes hair loss?

The most common cause is hereditary (androgenetic) hair loss, but it can also stem from stress, hormonal change, nutritional deficiency, illness or certain medications. A medical assessment identifies the cause so treatment targets the right problem.

Does hair loss differ between men and women?

Yes. In men it typically starts with a receding hairline and thinning at the crown, while women more often experience even thinning across the crown with the hairline preserved. The treatment plan is always adapted to the pattern and to individual circumstances.

Can a receding hairline be treated?

Yes. A receding hairline can be treated both with medical hair loss treatment to slow the progression and with a transplant to restore the hairline where hair has already gone. Which route suits you best is decided at the consultation.

What is medical hair loss treatment?

It is a non-surgical approach where we investigate the cause of your hair loss and build a plan using medication, PRP or hair care products to slow the loss and strengthen the hair over time. It is particularly well suited to the early stages.

When should I seek help for hair loss?

The earlier the better. Hair loss is often progressive, and early intervention can slow it and preserve more of the hair you have. If you notice increased thinning, a receding hairline, or more hair than usual in your comb, a consultation is a good first step.

Beard & eyebrows

Transplants for a fuller beard and fuller brows.

Can you transplant beard hair?

Yes. Using the same gentle FUE technique as a hair transplant, we can fill patchy areas, add density and create a sharper beard line. The hair is taken from the donor area and placed at the correct angle so it blends in naturally.

What does a beard transplant result look like?

The result is natural and denser exactly where you want it. Because it is your own hair, it grows like ordinary beard hair and can be shaved, trimmed and shaped just like the rest of your beard.

Can eyebrows be transplanted?

Yes. An eyebrow transplant suits anyone with sparse, scarred or over-plucked brows. We design the shape around your features and place each hair individually for fuller, well-shaped brows.

Are beard and brow transplants permanent?

Yes. The transplanted follicles keep their properties and grow permanently. Because the hair comes from the scalp, it may grow slightly faster than the surrounding beard or brow hair, so it needs trimming regularly.

Pricing & financing

Clear pricing and flexible ways to pay.

What does a hair transplant cost?

The price depends on the number of grafts and the extent of the treatment. At your free consultation you receive an exact, clear price based on your individual plan — with no hidden fees and no surprises.

What is included in the price?

Our package includes a personal consultation and medical assessment, the FUE procedure itself performed by experienced specialists, PRP treatments, an aftercare kit and medication, follow-up appointments and patient insurance. You know exactly what is included and what happens next.

Do you offer instalments or financing?

Yes — we offer flexible payment options so you can spread the cost over time. We go through the alternatives with you at the consultation so you find something that fits your budget.

Is the consultation free?

Yes. The consultation is completely free and comes with no obligation. We assess your scalp and donor area, discuss your goals and produce an individual plan and price — you decide if and when you want to go ahead.

Aftercare & results

What happens after treatment, and when you see the result.

How long is the recovery?

Recovery is quick and gentle. Most people return to everyday activities after 1–2 days. Some redness and swelling can occur initially but usually settles within a week. After 2–3 weeks you can resume all normal activity.

When can I exercise again?

Light activity can resume after a few days, but we recommend avoiding sweaty, intense exercise for the first 2–3 weeks to protect the newly transplanted follicles. You will be given a clear aftercare schedule to follow.

When will I see the final result?

The hair grows in gradually. You start to see new growth at around 3–4 months, noticeable density at 6–9 months, and the complete final result at 12 months. Patience pays off — the result looks more and more natural as time goes on.

What is the "shedding" phase?

A few weeks after treatment it is entirely normal for the transplanted hairs to fall out in what is called the shedding phase. This is not hair loss — the follicle stays in place and rests before beginning to produce new, permanent hair. It is an expected and positive step in the process.

How do I look after the new hair?

You receive detailed instructions and an aftercare kit. For the first few days that means handling the area gently, washing it as instructed, and avoiding sun, saunas and pressure on the scalp. We are with you through the whole healing process and follow up until the hair has fully grown in.
